Ride well-trained horses on the trails where the Maya once ruled and view the tropical jungle with our trained guides. We offer friendly horses and a short riding lesson before setting off into the wilds of southern Belize.
Our half day tour begins with a brief ride through a fragrant orange grove. The trail continues into the mysterious greenery of the tropical rain forest. A new world envelops us as we ride under a canopy of vines – accompanied by the call of exotic birds. More than 350 different species of birds have been counted in this area directly adjacent to the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Preserve.
Blue Morpho butterflies flutter past as guests ride through the forest of silver palmetto palms, pines and Kapok trees with their massive trunks. Your ride culminates at a pristine spot on the Sittee River where we will stop for a cool refreshing swim in a tropical river system, returning through the jungle to our starting point.
